History of The Atlanta Center Live! Events:
Live! events have been a long running tradition in the The Atlanta Center ARTCC and for those who know what its like, its a blast! We strive to simulate for 4-5 hours what its like to fly in/out of KATL. We call it a Live event, not because our controllers are meeting up, in person, for a "live" controlling event, but because we are simulating how live we can make Atlanta! In the past as you may have noticed, we've always focused these events on Atlanta. This year we're bringing the Live event to Charlotte as well!

Bringing Atlanta Live to Charlotte!
Charlotte Live hasn't been around for a very long time, if ever, and it's been over 3 years since our last Charlotte FNO. It's time to use the Jet Blast and BLOW the dust off Charlotte! Atlanta Center Controllers will take to the scopes from 2300 to at least 0300 zulu, Friday July 1st to cover The Atlanta Center, Charlotte Tracon, & The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (KCLT)!

Great Smoky Mountain Boogie
August 14th, 2016 - 2300-0300 UTC (1900-2300 EDT)
Join The Atlanta Center August 14th for the Great Smoky Mountain Boogie! We'll be staffing up KAVL, KTRI, & KCHA with controllers online from 2300-0300 UTC! Gatlinburg (KGKT) is an uncontrolled field within Knoxville Tracon airspace and we'll be providing support from either a Lo Enroute Sector or the Knoxville Tracon the evening of the 14th of August. Be sure to grab your favorite Cessna, Learjet, or even a CRJ and come down the Smokies for a great night of flying or if you're a controller, who's not part of the ARTCC, then come visit Atlanta for a great chance to control some aluminum tubes in the skies over the Smokies!

The New Atlanta Center GOES LIVE!

vZTL ARTCC is undergoing a transformation. Now complete, we are no loner vZTL, rather we are The Atlanta Center.

This new release video video highlights the foundation of the transformation, our entirely new website. Built from the ground up, the new site aims to provide more services to Atlanta Center controllers than anywhere else, while being not only accessible, but usable on any device. Accounts will be granted to home Atlanta Center & Visiting Controllers, however we invite all VATSIM members to utilize the utilities on the site!
