I'm not disagreeing with your points, I was just giving my opinion. I feel that C3 wouldn't be useful in this division. But I agree with what was said above, apply for Vatusa staff vacancies in the future and maybe you can make it happen, because I don't see it happening in the near future.

I was very curious in the past about bringing back the C3 rating, but I realized that it would cause many headaches within Vatusa that aren't needed. I was told that each ARTCC would be responsible for distributing the rating according to the qualifications of each facility, and this is where the problems will start. There are going to facilities that give the certification away faster/easier than others. Then you'll start hearing stuff like this " It's not fair!! The XXX ARTCC allows controllers to get their C3 rating much faster than here! Why do I have to work harder than other people to get this rating? I'm transferring! ".... This is one of the many ways of politics and headaches starting and the meaning of the rating will be non-existing over time

In addition, who cares about the rating? It's not like a C3 can control more or do more than what a C1 can, so why is it a necessity to get the C3 rating?

Staff,
On the Vatusa website, there is a page called "Office of the Director." That page has been there ever since Andrew Podner was the Divison Director and it wasn't edited when a new director took over. I know that it's not a big deal, but I wanted to point it out to the staff to fix it. :-)

Cross the Gulf is currently accepting applications for several different staff positions. Please feel free to submit your resumé for any position that is listed. If you won't be able to devote time to this, then I kindly ask that you don't apply. All staff members will receive a payware download from the Cross the Gulf Board for their hard work. Below are the vacant positions and a brief description of the job.
VACANT POSITIONS
-ARTCC/FIR Coordinator
•Coordinates with the staff members of the air traffic control facilities.
•Feeds all information to the air traffic control facilities.
•Coordinates with the Traffic Management Coordinator.
•Reports to the Cross the Gulf Board.
-Virtual Airline Coordinator
•Makes all the Vatsim Virtual Airlines aware of the event.
•Coordinates with the all virtual airline staff members.
•Reports to the Cross the Gulf Board.
Director of Advertisement
•Advertises the event in several different ways.
•Gathers the donated prizes for the event.
•Selects the winners of the event.
•Reports to the Cross the Gulf Board.
-Webmaster
•Maintains the event website and the booking system.
•Maintains the event teamspeak.
•Reports to the Cross the Gulf Board.
