OPEN POSITION POSTING
TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR
INDIANAPOLIS ARTCC (vZID)


The Indianapolis ARTCC (vZID) is currently seeking applications for the position of Training Administrator who will assist the Air Traffic Manager in providing effective management and leadership of the vZID Training Department to support the members of the ARTCC.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Oversees and manages the vZID training program
*Is actively engaged in student training on a weekly basis
*Manages training staff (Instructors and Mentors)
*Reports directly to the vZID Air Traffic Manager and VATUSA Training Director
*Maintains and implements training materials and documents including the creation and maintenance of training scenarios. (vZID currently has an on-line CBT through a Moodle)
*Tracks the progress of student controllers
*Prepares a quarterly summary of training related activities
*Quickly and accurately responds to training related inquiries from students, mentors, and instructors, as well as ARTCC and VATUSA Staff.
*Requires a commitment of at least 4-6 hours a week of training, program development, and program maintenance

Required Qualifications:
*Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment focused on mentoring
*Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no previous derogatory marks
*Currently hold a rating of Controller (C1) or higher
* Instructor/Mentor experience
*Strong knowledge of the United States Airspace and Air Traffic Control systems
*Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
*Current I1 rating or higher
*Previous or current ARTCC senior staff experience
*Supervisory or management experience in virtual or real world
*Real world aviation experience (pilot or air traffic control)
