Title: Computer Monitor set-up?
Post by: Ryan Dacey on November 13, 2024, 09:27:38 PM
Hello Everyone,

I just passed my ATC/S1 exam at the academy.

What would your recommendation be for monitor setup for starting out as GND then TWR?  I currently have an XPS 13 laptop but the screen isn't very big.  I am considering buying a big screen - this way I will have 2 screens to use.

Any recommendations?  Should this be adequate?

Thanks!

Ryan

The XPS 13 uses Thunderbolt 3  port to connect a monitor.

'Dell provides a Thunderbolt 3 port on the XPS 13, allowing you to connect an external monitor that supports USB-C or Thunderbolt 3.
If you have an external monitor that supports HDMI, you can use the Dell USB-C to HDMI Adapter to connect the monitor to your XPS 13.

Seems thunderbolt technology makes it an expensive upgrade, but a monitor that supports USB-C
seems more reasonable.
