Title: Needing to take the basic test but....
Post by: Louis Joseph Graham on October 16, 2011, 04:09:35 PM: I do not know how to take it... I just signed up the other day and I was verified today.. How long until I can take the basic test? I have reviewed the material and where do I take it at??

ALSO.. I downloaded the VRC but I do not know where to down load the sectors from so I can start observing..

As to the sector files for VRC, you can find them on most ARTCC websites (the exception is Atlanta, which requires registration to access them). Once you have completed your Basic ATC exam and selected a facility to train at you should receive more information on how to continue training.

Thanks for the help with the sector maps....

But I still cannot find the basic test...

I have registered with vatsim already and I am able to log in to VATUSA but when I click on exam center all it says it no tests are scheduled for this time........

any ideas?

Post by: Don Desfosse on October 17, 2011, 10:52:30 PM: Where are you in the VATUSA - Join process? What was the last email from VATUSA that you have received? Realize that it can take approximately 24 hours to get the exam assigned, so if you were only verified today, it may not have assigned yet.
