Title: Help for the FNG
Post by: Skyler Curtin on January 02, 2012, 02:31:33 AM
Hi all,

as you can tell by my topic title im a new guy to vatsim, so i thought i'd ask a few questions. First off how do i change my password? also i'd like to say glad to be here, and hopefully i can make some good friends out here. Although i will admit i am kinda scared of the training, which i also have no clue about, from where to begin, and am i even allowed to dare enter the the true world of virtual flying without it first?

Anyways just thought i'd say whats up and get my name out a little, and start to intertwine with the "smart kids" of the virtual flying community

Thanks all,
Skyler Curtin

VATSIM doesn't allow you to change your password.

And no, pilots do not need any sort of training to fly online.  If, however, you'd like to learn how to fly check out ZLA's Pilot Certs http://pilotcerts.laartcc.org/page/Home (http://pilotcerts.laartcc.org/page/Home)

Member services can change it, I would think, but that should only be used in the event your password is compromised.

Plus I do believe the password change is just to another random number and I think the OP would like a custom password.

Everyone above is correct.  You can request a password change, but it will be another randomly generated password.  Also, training is not required but for more options visit http://www.vatsim.net/pilots/ptd/ (http://www.vatsim.net/pilots/ptd/)
