Title: Again?
Post by: Brandon Rodgers on August 20, 2013, 11:19:57 AM: Looking at my ZFW admin panel on VATUSA, it appears a few guys have been moved out. Did VATUSA get "hacked" again or was this a reset in the database?

It looks like about half of all of the ATMs were removed.

seriously: it would be nice to know if this was a hiccup in the system or someone has access and are testing the waters for a bigger event.

Post by: Don Desfosse on August 22, 2013, 03:06:49 PM: It wasn't just a hiccup in the system. We were hacked again. Michael found and fixed the hole, and a couple of others. We thought we got them all last time, and hope that's true again this time. We are now bringing in some professional IT security folks to look at and test our system for vulnerabilities. Hopefully after that is done, we won't have any more issues. Please keep this amongst this group only. No need to advertise for copy cats.

Post by: Don Desfosse on August 22, 2013, 09:47:10 PM: Folks, we are looking into a couple of other issues. We may have broken some things in the process of fixing others. The two known issues are:
1. No data synchs with VATSIM are currently occurring.
2. Exams may not be getting automatically reassigned 7 days after a failure.

I've asked Michael to look into these.
