i'm a new memeber, who registered approx. 3 hrs ago.  attempting to sign up usa division for assignment at msp atc. keep getting message CID not found on vatusa system. what does this mean ???

Please allow 24-48 hours for your VATSIM.net region/division transfer to process.

Thanks, Colin.  That's correct.  Alvin, there is only one thing on the Become a VATUSA ATC page that is bold, and that is:
