Once again, ZMA will be hosting a special event on January 24th 2015, starting 2300z-0300z. We will be introducing "The Miami Mega Ball 2015".
This event will be a "Lottery" type of event.
Pilots will be Departing KIAH or KMCO into KMIA with full ATC.

In this event there is going to be 3 prizes.
Each prize has its own number. For example: Prizes 1’s winning number is 123 . Prize 2’s winning number is 15 ect….
The pilots will have to fly from one of the featured airports KIAH or KMCO and choose a number between 1 and 150.
When pilots are on final with MIA_TWR they will be asked what is their chosen number.
The first pilot to guess the correct number for each prize will win it till we are out of prizes.

Though family commitments kept me from logging on until the very end of the event, all I kept hearing about was what a great event it was and what an incredibly great turnout there was, so kudos to everyone who participated.  I want to personally thank the entire ZMA crew for staying on as late as they did to accommodate all the traffic that was still there, well after the advertised end of the event.  Great job, everyone!

A great event for sure.  The Tracon had to close 4x due to the amount of traffic. They kept coming and coming. Throw some free prizes in the mix and the entire world shows up

Thanks to all the pilots who flew, the other participating ARTCC's, our prize sponsors, and ZMA staff and controllers for another magnificent Megaball!
