Title: Looking for a job!!

Hello there,

I've just passed my first exam and it is the time to join a Facility and I just don't know which one will suit my needs.

The most important thing is "where am I the most needed"?

Then, here are the criterias I am looking for this job :
- Salary (= Friendship)
- Summer holidays (= Fun)
- Work timetable (= Learning new stuff)

As a matter of fact, I am a french Canadian native who is doing not so bad with his english but is needing pratice. I am also a real pilot who wants to learn some particular flying rules in the US compared to the ones in Canada; mostly talking about VFR rules.

Considering my francophone origins, anything available in Lousiana? :)

Hey Mario, welcome to VATUSA.
Everything here is organized by ARTCC. There are 21 ARTCCs in the US and 1 Control Facility.

As you can see, most of Louisiana is covered by the Houston ARTCC (http://www.zhuartcc.org/). I suggest you start your looking there if you're aiming for controlling in Louisiana.

You need to update that graphic.. ZJX hasn't been shaped like that in over a decade, ZHN hasn't existed in about as long when the FAA figured it'd save money to merge it with HNL to form HCF. ;)

Thinking about it, I pretend some Facilities are more actives than other ones (ex.: Boston, New York).

I am ready to begin my training and I am looking for a Facility where I will have all the support I need in the next weeks/months; any candidate?

The best facility for you is the one where you think you will have the greatest success. All 22 are great choices. I would start by contacting the ATM of a facility if you have any questions.

As long as you have the drive and are willing to put in the time and effort into training, then you will do fine.

A little bit disappointed.

I received my connexion infos and I haven't been able to connect.

If you didn't receive a reply from the folks at Boston, did you contact your Air Traffic Director, Mani Manigault, VATUSA9, for assistance?  Please email forward me ([email protected]?Subject=Boston not responding) the emails you sent the folks at Boston and I'll make sure they respond.
