Just coming back as a controller here on VATSIM and VATUSA. Been out of it for quite a while (I think just over five or six years.
Since I have come back, I see there has been quite an addition of controller clients, of course VRC being the stalwart that has stood the test of time.
I would like to know, what ATC client, besides VRC do most of you like to use? I would like to see what client do most people today like to use before making a decision on what facility I would like to be a part of.

Hello Mr.Davies,
The preferred controller client at the moment would still be the old-timer, VRC. It is the easiest in my eyes to use for cab controlling and Radar here and there. But if you are coming back to be a radar controller lets say and would like a challenge, I would suggest VSTARS. It is a great client for TRACON.
VRC: http://www1.metacraft.com/VRC/ (http://www1.metacraft.com/VRC/)
VSTARS: https://vstars.metacraft.com/ (https://vstars.metacraft.com/)
You will also need the new audio client due to we do not use VRC to communicate with pilots anymore.
Voice Client: https://audio.vatsim.net/ (https://audio.vatsim.net/)
Welcome back!

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
I am actually returning as a C1 (Controller), but it will be a while before I get back up to radar controlling...have quite a lot of catching up to do as well as learning new procedures :)
With all that being said, I like the look of and am leaning towards vStars..it seems to be a bit more realistic than VRC, at least from the screenshots I have seen. I might even keep vStars for cab controlling. That or use Vstars for radar controlling and VRC for cab...haven't decided yet, will have to look into vStars more :)
Last but not least, I knew VATSIM came out with a new voice codec, just didn't know there was a separate voice client, so thank you for mentioning that.
