I see it on the Calendar now.... it just posted. " Preseason Opener FNO « on: Today at 09:54:49 PM » "

Houston to Havana it is! I've already gotten an email response from Miguel and his guys so they'll be up. I like it.

It's not on the Calendar Don. We didn't know.

However, that makes it easy.....   Houston to Havana, Cuba. We can take the post down... that is not an issue. We were not aware that anyone picked it up since nothing is posted.

Virtual Airlines / Eagle Airways Recruitment Drive...
« on: July 29, 2015, 10:50:38 PM »
Good evening all.

Eagle Airways is always looking for good talent to join it's team. It's been quite awhile since we've gone on a recruitment drive so please spare a moment for me to tell you what we're all about.

We're a small team of good friends and professionals. We celebrate having less than 50 members and take opportunities to get to know everyone on a first name basis. Our team is made up of both "Arm Chair" pilots and Real World pilots alike and we all have one common interest which is the love of flight.

Some key items which may interest you :
  • ~Professional team respected by many VATSIM controllers.
~A wealth of knowledge for both novice and experienced pilots
~Crew Bases in Phoenix and Atlanta.
~Service to many popular destinations all over the world.
~We operate all Popular Boeing airframes as well as others.
~Professional Website, TeamSpeak and Social Media outlets.
~Hand Crafted Repaints for popular airframes.

One of the other big ticket items that may interest pilots is that we don't support a "Ranking" system. At Eagle Airways we’ve thrown out the idea of a Pilot Ranking System. Eagle Airways completely supports the idea that this is a hobby that is meant to be enjoyed by all. This hobby can also be quite expensive so the idea of not allowing you to fly your favorite or newest aircraft that you saved up a fair amount of money for just doesn’t make sense to us. We want you to enjoy this hobby and all it has to offer.

Below you will find a portrait of one of our aircraft. We'd like to invite you to check us out and join our team if you feel we'd be a good fit for you.

Whether you are flying on our team or for yourself... we'll see you in the skies connected to VATSIM. Thanks for your time and happy landings.

With respect,
Lloyd O Boyette

Virtual Airlines / Eagle Airways
« on: January 26, 2015, 08:19:15 AM »
Good morning folks.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce my latest ( and hopefully last ) Virtual Airline project. It's a long story, however, Vector Airlines is now permanently closed. It's a bitter sweet moment and closing it allowed me to kinda spread my creative wings a little bit and create something that is new, fresh and a design that is all my own.

www.eagleairways.net

Eagle Airways which is based out of Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Intl Airport started official operations on the 1st of January 2015. You may have seen some of our team flying around already as we're about 40% complete on our scheduling of the new airline. The team at Albuquerque have been great hosts so far in getting to know us and where we park as well as the team at Atlanta. Our main focus of course is operations here in the North American region with operations in Central and South America as well.

I did want to ask for support on one minor issue that keeps presenting itself with some of the controllers we come across which is our callsign. Our callsign was presented by one of our team members and agreed upon by a majority of our team ( it's not even the one I picked ) which is "ADLER"

ADLER, pronounced "Add-ler" is a surname of German origin meaning eagle, hence Eagle Airways. We're aware there is another Eagle Airlines out there that already uses the callsign "Eagle" and also wanted to separate ourselves from EGF "Eagle Flight" which I still see people fly on the network.

As always... love flying with you guys and look forward to supporting your events with the new airline and visiting your airports soon! Thanks for the support!

Virtual Airlines / Curious Question

five airframes

pmdg 737 ngx any model doesnt matter.. they are all pretty much the same; this is your main workhorse.. domestic flights I would personally go with the 700 model and fly the crap out of it.. this will be your bread and butter plane. this will fly the medium to smaller domestic routes.  for example.  KBOS-KLGA-KPHL-KIAD-KCLT-KATL-KMCO-KMIA, etc etc.

pmdg 777 either 200 or 300 or both.. doesnt matter. this will be used for your international flights. across both ponds etc.

qw 787   - when it comes out.. i think that will be a winner. this you could use for your long domestic flights. think coast to coast.. like KJFK to KLAX, or KLAX, TO KMCO, etc.

majestic q400   - you will need a good commuter that will go from your major hubs to the little regionals. out and back.

now your last slot..  there are many ways to go..
you could do a bizjet.. if you want to do a little charter division, etc.

or

you could bring something like the B1900D. I'm thinking Carenado's.

this would be a great area for pilots who sign up and don't have any experience flying the more complictated airplanes. It could also appeal to people like myself. who wouldnt mind flying for a larger organization without having to comitt to such a steep learning curve.

if it be up to me.. I'd go B1900D

and then add a charter division and a cargo division down the road..

but anyway, there is  your five.

For the most part you've read my mind.

Looking at trimming down to the Q400, CRJ-700 ( when the Aerosoft CRJ comes out ), the 737-8 & 9 and the 753. Later down the road the 77W and the 787-8 ( or 9.. haven't decided )

Virtual Airlines / Curious Question
« on: December 03, 2014, 12:30:20 AM »
So as Vector Airlines is about to enter a new year I have a curious question. If you were to design an airline and had to pick only 5 airframes to run it... what would they be? What airframes do you fly most?

General Discussion / Giving Thanks...
« on: November 27, 2014, 01:00:54 PM »
Good afternoon all.

On a day like today it's easy to give thanks... because "you're supposed to". I've been around the network now some 7+ years now and have had the pleasure of working with some of the best controllers on the network both as a pilot and fellow controller. All these years I have sometimes  just taken it for granted. I login and you're there. You guys are always there. I have never made the time to stop and say thank you to all those that make my life just a little better by being there support the network and it's various teams.

I wanted you to know that I appreciate the time you've spent with me and your tireless effort to the network and it's health. Some days are better than others and you guys keep coming back and that is something not to be taken for granted. Thank you for patience, your professionalism, your time learning your airspace and what it takes to run it and in most cases thank you for staying cool under pressure. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and I am working harder to let people know just how much I appreciate them being online.

I just wanted to give thanks.

Virtual Airlines / A Moment to Celebrate
« on: October 30, 2014, 12:17:21 PM »

We know we’re not the BIGGEST or the oldest airline around. We do have almost 5 years of successful operation under our belt and for an airline that isn’t a recognized name like an American Airlines, Delta or Southwest that is something to brag about. Most “Virtual” Virtual Airlines don’t make it past the first year let alone 5. There are some out there and my hat is off to those teams as well for creating something all their own and seeing it succeed.

For me as the owner… it’s creating a brand that I can associate myself with. It’s looking for team members that I know will support others and the airline. It’s all about making friends and having fun while learning and growing into a hobby that struggles to not be seen as some “Video Game”, rather, something more… much much more.

We would like to invite you to our website and check us out. We’re always looking for talent to help compliment our team and continue to evolve our airline into the best that we can make it. We’re proud of what we have and want to show it off.

Thank you for everyone’s support and we look forward to flying with you in the virtual skies!

Kindly,
Lloyd O Boyette, CEO & Owner

Virtual Airlines / Vector Airlines Hiring Airbus Pilots.
« on: December 08, 2013, 01:00:42 AM »
Vector Airlines has been around 3+ years now and has always been a Boeing dominant fleet. Our "Bread n' Butter" has always been the Boeing 737-800 and earlier this year the -900. As we close out the year and look forward to 2014 the Airbus A320/321 has worked it's way into our fleet! We're looking for Airbus pilots that are looking for a little something different in a VA. Most "Virtual" Airlines don't make it past a year, let alone 3 and we're proud to say that we're still growing. Join our team and be a part of a successful team!
