Purpose:
The Fort Worth ARTCC is currently seeking a highly motivated individual who will provide effective management of the ARTCC’s data services, including but not limited to: web content development and services, discord management, and email systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Air Traffic Manager and Deputy Air Traffic Manager
- Develops, manages, and oversees Web Services, APIs, E-mail, and other systems
- Responds quickly to website and data system needs
- Develops policies and procedures for operation and maintenance of the ARTCC web and data systems
-  Forms, oversees, and manages the ZFW Web Team
- Other duties as assigned by the ATM or DATM
 
Basic Requirements:
-  Serves as a leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
- Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
- Supports the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse range of talented people.
- Strengthens others through consistent feedback while driving productivity and morale.
- Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with memorable experiences.
- Partners in the development of strategy and helps to translate into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans.
- Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.
- Work with other WMs of "the partnership" in developing features and maintenance that pertains to all shared facilities (ZAN, ZDV, HCF, ZLC, ZFW and ZKC)

Additional Requirements:
- Must have at least a Student 1 (S1) rating
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no significant disciplinary history
- Must be proficient in modern web programming languages and techniques, including, HTML, MySQL, JavaScript, Rust, CSS, vue, GoLang. (you can view the ZFW GitHub, open source, at https://github.com/kzfw)
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must display leadership qualities
- Must be available for regular correspondence (via the primary means of e-mail and discord), as well as routinely checking VATUSA forums and other outlets for official notices
- Be able to meet all activity requirements as outlined in ZFW General Policy and all sections thereof (as appropriate).

This position requires a significant commitment to ZFW and VATSIM. Roles and responsibilities may change as needed.

Purpose:
Fort Worth is looking for a motivated individual that possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Deputy Air Traffic Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the Air Traffic Manager
- Assists in management of ATC Roster, permissions and access, Discord/Teamspeak administration, and other general administrative tasks associated with the ATC organization as delegated within the guidance provided by the Air Traffic Manager
- Assists in development of ARTCC SOPs, LOAs, Policies, and more
- Maintains a high online presence and community presence
- Completes other duties as assigned by ATM

Requirements:
-  Serves as a leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
- Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
- Works in collaboration with Virtual Airlines and other VATUSA ARTCC’s to leverage synergy opportunities across the United States.
- Supports the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse range of talented people.
- Strengthens others through consistent feedback while driving productivity and morale.
- Manages a group of team leaders to a diverse group of individuals and provides coaching and mentoring to ensure the growth of future managers
- Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with memorable experiences.
- Partners in the development of strategy and helps to translate into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans.
- Understands and drives appropriate metrics to assess controller performance.
- Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.
- Monitors the daily activities of the ARTCC.
- Maintains an online presence on the Fort Worth ARTCC Discord and Teamspeak.
- Assume the duties of the ATM when they are unavailable.
- Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.
- Ensures that Fort Worth is following all VATSIM and VATUSA directives.
- Be able to meet all activity requirements as outlined in the ZFW General Policy and all sections thereof (as appropriate)
- Must hold the rating of Student 3 (S3) or greater. S3 controllers must be willing to obtain their C1 within an agreed upon amount of time once in ZFW.
- This position requires a time commitment of an average of four (4) hours per week working on administrative tasks

Preferred Skills:
- Prior ATC Mentor/Instructor experience
- Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable)
- Real world aviation/pilot/atc experience
- Familiarity with the Fort Worth policies and procedures
- Demonstrates the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism

Have you ever wanted to fly in a [toilet] bowl? Well now you get the opportunity to when you fly into Aspen. Our controllers will vector you around the airspace in the shape of a [toilet] bowl while at the same time managing opposite direction departures. It will be a fun event, make sure to bring your  favorite biz jet or commercial aircraft and circle the drain into Aspen!

Sky Blue Radio, The Pilot Club, and The Denver ARTCC proudly present a nice Thursday evening fly-in. This event is a hybrid between GA and jet aircraft, so feel free to fly whatever you want!

The Pilot Club is planning to arrive between 9pm - 10pm Eastern if you want to land during the primary arrival push!
