I don't know if this the proper place to post this, so I apologize in advance if it isn't.

I am a new VATUSA member who is just beginning my training.  I discovered an error in the Basic ATC training resource, specifically the wind description (subsection e) under the METAR section in the chapter on weather. The second sentence reads "The first three digits indicate the direction the wind is blowing."
That sentence should read "The first three digits indicate the direction FROM WHICH the wind is blowing." That's a big difference (180 degrees to be exact!).

I confirmed this in the Jeppesen IFR/Commercial Pilot Training Manual (p. 9-59)

Just thought the powers that be would like to know.
