This month, we're firing up the grill for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, on an island like no other...an island LONGER than any other...Long Island! Or, should I say, Lawn Guyland? That's right, we're excited to kickoff the summer season here in New York, and we look forward to welcoming you to Long Island (ISP)!

They say April Showers bring May Flowers, but what happens when the rain is particularly potent? It sprouts a rare LaGuardia Tower! We walked into this tower and discovered it is magically fully equipped for operations, so we figured we’d put it to good use.

This month, join us for the inaugural Tuesday Nights of 2026 near some of the chilliest regions of the Empire State: Elmira (ELM) and Ithaca (ITH)! Bring your skis onboard for a fast and easy connection to your favorite winter destination in the Finger Lakes. But be careful, because "people disappear in the Finger Lakes..."

This month, bring the pumpkin pie, stuffing, and of course, the turkey, to our annual pre-Thanksgiving bash: Turkey Day at Teterboro! A little birdie told us that the tower controllers will waive your EDCTs if you bring them some of your feast...

This month, Kennedy (JFK) is celebrating the New York Rangers’ season opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins! As the boys in blue get ready to take off, we’ll be keeping the skies just as clear as Igor keeps the crease. And don’t worry! Unlike Sidney Crosby, we won’t be whining for a call every time the wind doesn’t go our way. It’s time to SKORR big with another New York event, so let’s go RNGRRs!

Date & Time: Saturday, October 25th, 2025, 7:00pm → 11:00pm Eastern (2300z - 0300z)

The English language has truly developed and blossomed over centuries, but one word in particular has stood out: baconeggcheese. Roam the streets of New York City, and you’ll hear locals uttering this prehistoric word to deli clerks all over the city. In fact, the world record for longest word goes to some random dude in Midtown who walked into a deli and said “yeahhowyadoinlemmegetabaconeggcheesesaltpepperketchuponrye.” True story!

The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is what unites us all, and this year, the New York ARTCC invites you to our table to experience this delicious delicacy embodied as our three major airports. Your bacon is sourced from the Hudson Express in Newark (EWR). Your egg comes from one of 100 Dunkin’ stands in LaGuardia (LGA). And the cheese? Oh, you better believe that’s coming from the one and only, Kennedy (JFK)!

Join us for our annual fall FNO, and you too can experience all there is to see, taste, and smell, of our flagship cuisine!

But we do have…one more thing! During the FNO, you have the ability to be entered into a chance at winning one of 8 scenery giveaways! A huge thank you to Drzewiecki Design (4 EWR) and iniBuilds (4 JFK, either for MSFS 2020 or 2024, your choice) for making this possible! Here’s how to enter:

During the event, send a PM to NY_T_CTR, and include the following information:

• VATSIM CID
• Email Address
• Flight Origin & Destination (you must fly into or out of EWR, LGA, or JFK, to be eligible)

To restate that, if you fly into ANY EVENT FIELD (EWR, LGA, or JFK), and you follow the aforementioned steps, you will be entered into the giveaway. Please spread the love across all three fields!

And that’s all there is to it! Limit one entry and one prize per user. Our hard-working controllers will also be automatically entered to win from their own pool, and drawings will take place following the close of the event (11pm Eastern). No late entries! Winners will be contacted via email following the drawing, and the EWR and JFK sceneries will be assigned via a randomizer.
