In celebration of the 2021 Triple Crown, the Host ARTCCs of the Kentucky Derby (ZID), Preakness Stakes (ZDC), and the Belmont Stakes (ZNY) are offering a "trifecta" of ATC services. This "show" will happen on May 7, 2021, from 7-11 (EDT) or 23z to 3z. The "place" will be the ARTCCs of ZID, ZDC, and ZNY. "Win" by flying in, from, and to any of the Triple Crown home cities. "Place your bets" on a great evening of flying.

Thirty-three drivers, 200 laps, 500 miles, and one bottle of cold milk. The only thing missing from this magical Indianapolis 500 mix is you. Don't miss out on another incredible edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." ZID will be receiving drivers, crews and their fans to the "Brickyard" on August 22 from 23z to 03z.

It would be awesome to see us do this on a quarterly or bi-annual basis.

Please join the controllers of ZID as we commemorate the 100th running of the Indy500.
On May 29th, the Indianapolis airport (KIND) will be staffed from 17:00z to 20:00z (1-4 EST).

Awesome job Matt! Let's make this a more common occurrence, perhaps a every-other-month style could work? Prizes don't have to be included each time unless that's doable.

I think that a more frequently organized assembly, whether regional or the whole division, is a great way to enhance everyone's experience and contribute to the hobby (at least IMHO... ) There's a lot of opportunity to dwell on the negative, so ... let's chalk-up some positive opportunities ... like maybe attracting more regular fliers to your home ARTCC, or inspiring less active controllers back, or providing student training opportunities? Just trying to put a positive spin on this thread ... I hope something works out ... g'day everyone!
