Position Posting: ZKC ARTCC Webmaster

Purpose:
ZKC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Webmaster.

Key Responsibilities:
Reports to the Air Traffic Manager and Deputy Air Traffic Manager regarding website matters
Manages and oversees the ARTCC data services, including web content and delivery, web services, email systems, data storage systems, etc.
Responds quickly to website and data system needs
Maintains a high online presence and community presence
Completes other duties as assigned by the ATM and DATM

Requirements:
Be a member of ZKC, or be willing to transfer upon selection.
Must be proficient with modern web programming languages and techniques, including Linux, MySQL, and JavaScript.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be at least an S2 rated controller (S3 or above is preferred)

Preferred Skills:
Previous VATUSA Webteam/personal web project experience
Experience managing a small group of people
Some experience, knowledge, or willingness to learn VueJS, Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, PHP functionality, and CI/CD Pipelines

Purpose:
Kansas City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Facility Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the ATM and DATM.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
- Functions as a member of the vZKC junior staff and attends meetings as necessary.
- Maintains and updates the files on vNAS for ZKC
- Maintains and updates vATIS facilities files.
- Assists the TA in the creation of Sweatbox or other files as directed by the TA.

Requirements:
- Must hold at least an S3 rating or above.
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network and in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and manage a team.
- Must possess sufficient technical knowledge to execute the responsibilities of the position.

Preferred Skills:
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable).
- Familiarity with ZKC policies and procedures (or be willing to learn).

Join us in the Air Capital of the World for Kansas City ARTCC's Wednesday in Wichita event on June 28, 2023. Wichita, named the Air Capital of the World, is the birthplace of some of the most famous aircraft manufacturing companies, such as Beechcraft, Cessna, and Stearman Aircraft. All three of those companies are still based in Wichita to this day since their founding in the 1920s-1930s.

Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (KICT) was designed to be, and still is, the largest airport in Kansas. It sees an average of over 100,000 flight operations per year.
