Events / CTP Eastbound Applications Open
« on: July 26, 2014, 04:41:06 PM »
Airfield applications for CTP Eastbound 2014 are now open. Applications close on 8th August (2400Z). The event will most likely be the 18th or 25th October, though this will be confirmed at a later date when announced publicly. Until that time, it is not guaranteed to be either.
If you wish to submit your airport for the event, please submit it via the CTP website, http://ctp.vatsim-uk.co.uk/. You must be a staff member to submit an application and are committing yourself and your ARTCC to the event if selected. This includes having representatives at our meetings, including the 'routes meeting', held the night before the event. Ideally the member of staff responsible for events within the ARTCC should be the one to submit the application - if not make sure you have their permission to submit it.
Please be aware that airports that are very far away from the Atlantic may be excluded from the voting process if we consider them impractical. I am saying this now as there has been some confusion in the past as to who makes the decision in this process. That decision is handled by the CTP Planning team - and no one else. So please get in touch with us if you want an authoritative answer about the suitability of your airfield.
Questions about applications can be directed to myself (probott [at] gmail [dot] com).
