So are you saying that's not what the livery will be?

A new brand identity is being developed, which includes a new livery.

I'm not sure what you mean by any of this, but this is what the new livery will be:

Being a Houstonian, the loss of Continental hits hard. I don't think I'll get used to the Continental globe on the tail with a United slapped across the fuselage. Plus, I'll never see a B787 in Continental colors, as they were going to start service from Houston to Auckland about a year from now.

Also, I heard a while back that none of the COA or UAL VA's were "virtually merging". Any update on this?

The company that did the rebranding for Delta/Northwest was hired by UA to to the new livery. I'm sure we won't have a clip-art globe on our planes. They will start removing the Continental titles starting October 1st. Hopefully, the current UA livery and brand stay, and we don't go back to the early 1990's with that COA mess.

I don't believe any of the virtual airlines have officially merged. I'm staff for UVA (www.united-virtual.com).

The Control Room Floor / Houston Holding Points

Daniel, we're not talking about SFO and what we do there...we're talking about the concept as a whole.

And what you do there? Just because I'm referencing SFO doesn't mean I'm relating ZOA. As to the concept as a whole, major airports have ramp spots. Here is your answer for IAH.

The Control Room Floor / Houston Holding Points

This can be easily fixed by replacing numbers with letters.

Take SFO for example.  The TMU has implemented a plan where, under periods of high traffic, holding points may be implemented.  Used to, we would say, call number one at holding point 1 for taxi.  Now, we just say something like "exit the ramp at M" or "taxi to holding point M" (Mike is the taxiway that the holding point is on).

I think holding points are a great idea, they just need to be tweaked a little bit.

Why would you create new points when SFO already has designated spots located at the end of each ramp. Defeats the purpose of realism IMO.

You won't be able to find them unless you work for UA. I have them, but it would be hard for me to scan every page
