WORLD VIRTUAL ALLIANCE – HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE – www.flywva.com
FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 2010 – RECRUITING PILOTS AND STAFF
After being open for over a year, World Virtual Alliance is still open for business. We are looking for a few staff members as well as pilots interested in flying for us.
We are an Alliance – meaning we are not just a Virtual Airline dedicated to one particular real-world carrier. We have a group of 16 airlines and hubs to choose from. Whether you want to fly a Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, etc – we got it! Our routes are based off the Airlines we have in our Alliance.
Our current hubs are: Mexico City, Seattle, Tokyo, Chicago-O’Hare, London-Heathrow, Hong Kong, Newark, Tel Aviv, Memphis, NY-Kennedy, Frankfurt, Sydney, Dublin, Dallas-Love, San Francisco and Phoenix.
As a pilot for World Virtual Alliance, you are not restricted to a particular aircraft or airline. We will also accept up to 75% of previous pilot experience (either from another Virtual airline or VATSIM). We also hold weekly VATSIM Events, participate in the VATSIM FNOs. We are also considered an International Virtual Airline, with hubs in Asia, US, Mexico and Europe – we encourage all virtual pilots worldwide to apply. If you are interested in being a pilot for WVA, please register at our website – www.flywva.com.
We also fly on the VATSIM Network and use FSACARS, XPassengers or FSPassengers to file flights.
Current Hub Manager Openings are:
Chicago-O’Hare, London-Heathrow, Sydney, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, and Dublin
For those applying for the Hub Manager position for Hong Kong or Tel Aviv – we prefer someone who speaks Chinese and Hebrew for these positions respectively, but this is not a required skill.
The Hub Manager Position requirements are:
• Must Be over 18 years of age
• Previous Virtual Airline, VATSIM ATC or Management experience preferred but not required
• Over 750+ VATSIM Online flight hours required
• Be able to attend Hub Manager meetings
• Signed up in the WVA Forums
• Be able to use Teamspeak 2
• VATSIM Member in good standing
If you have these qualities and are interested in applying, please email the VP of Human Resources at: vphr(at)flywva.com with your formal application and resume attached - along with your current VATSIM ID #. In your email you should also state how you would attract outside pilots to your hub.
Qualified applicants will be invited to an interview session on Teamspeak 2 in the HR office with the VP of HR.
Thanks
