You might be right logistically speaking. However, I think the discussion has been fruitful thus far, and could continue to be so provided that people give their ideas about palpable issues related to these behaviors. What's a conversation but a discussion that starts in one direction but ends up going in a direction that focuses on what's (potentially) been on the minds of the majority anyways?
Looking for open minded thought on VATSIM members' priorities on the network, not a quick and dirty solution to 1 or 2 ARTCCs' behaviors, at this point. Maybe discussion about generally caustic/elitist attitude problems existent on the network as of late is in order. That's at least one of the causal background issues that made me want to write this post.
"Measurable effectiveness" of a post, or however someone would like to word it, is not something I wish to discuss here personally. Broad discussion is something these forums are good for in my opinion.
Cheers

Its working fine here.
What happened to the pilot briefing? The dropbox link no longer works.
I think he was referring to the fact that within those ARTCCs, their "high score" airport has a lower score than their "low score" airport.
Just seems odd... and potentially embarrassing as if someone forgot how the number line works.
Question on the rules of the contest so I'm clear and there's a level playing field for all pilots:
Can a pilot complete a leg within the first few minutes of ATC being available on the east coast giving them a clear advantage?
Example: If one could time the first flight such that takeoff from a given airport starts before the event and landing occurs let's say 5 minutes after the event starts. The event documentation talks about flying from one ARTCC to another and landing within the parameters of the event time but it doesn't mention valid takeoff times.
Question 2: Do contest legs need to be "connected"? The contest documentation shows each leg being connected.
Question 3: Some ARTCCs appear to have a higher point value in the lower score column, for instance ZLA and ZJX. Is this correct?
I'll also make the assumption that time compression in the simulator will not be allowed for any pilot and simulator crash recovery will be allowed for FSX users.
Thank you,
Jas
I use the Plantronics H31 Starset along with a PTT. Very comfortable.
I don't remember it ever stating 7600 is not allowed, 7500 is a different matter, if you use 7600, I'd make sure that the controller is okay with you simulating that before you do itHow,does one lose comma when text is available?
Cheers!

Are you in/around the wichita area?
You will need to bring your own computer to the event.
