In the Regional Circuit, we staff up multiple of our airports to provide pilots with an opportunity to receive 'gate-to-gate' ATC service for the duration of the event. Pilots are encouraged to fly between the airports and make the return flight if time allows; however, traffic from other airports is welcome as well. The Regional Circuit always creates an immersive atmosphere with busy frequencies and congested airways between the host airports.

This Regional Circuit features Albany (ALB), Burlington (BTV), and Bradley (BDL) airports.

Events / [30 Jan 2026 2359-0400Z] Northeast Corridor FNO
« Last post by Cameron Peterson on December 22, 2025, 05:58:08 PM »

Join Boston Virtual (ZBW), Virtual New York (ZNY), and Washington Virtual (ZDC) ARTCCs for the longstanding tradition of the Northeast Corridor FNO – a VATUSA-sanctioned Friday Night Operations event that has brought heavy traffic and realistic operations to one of the busiest airspace corridors in the world for over a decade.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, from 1900-2300 ET (2359-0400z), expect full staffing across the featured airports: Washington National (KDCA), New York LaGuardia (KLGA), and Boston Logan International (KBOS), along with their surrounding airspaces.

Pilots flying the Northeast Corridor can anticipate high-volume traffic mirroring real-world operations. Due to the inherent complexity and congestion of the northeastern airspace, traffic management initiatives – including ground delays, holding, miles-in-trail restrictions, and possible reroutes – are likely to be in effect. Plan accordingly, bring extra fuel, and enjoy the challenge!

This iconic event celebrates the tight coordination between our three ARTCCs while paying homage to Amtrak's famous Northeast Corridor rail service that connects these major hubs.

Whether you're shuttling between DCA, LGA, and BOS or flying in from afar, come experience the energy of the Northeast Corridor. Controllers and pilots alike – let's make this another memorable FNO!

Connecting VATUSA for the last 12 years!

3 participating pilots win a product from Just Flight!

Welcome to the Appalachian mountains, some of the oldest in North America, and home to many beautiful quiet small communities. While the residents in the hills below turn in for the night, the skies above the mountains light up with small aircraft shuffling and bustling to make sure the region is ready for tomorrow.

This kind of flying takes skill though, do you have what it takes?

Jump in to any of the fun missions: canceled checks, small cargo, medical lab samples, a last second airliner arrival, or the businessman's late return from the big city. Face off against weather, lack of control towers, challenging instrument procedures, and the mountains themselves. This is some of the most fun flying ZTL and ZID have to offer.

Looking for some inspiration? We’re playing bingo during the event! Play for a change to win your choice of a product (bundles not included) from Just Flight. Will you pick the Black Square Starship Professional to fly something like no other? Or the RJ Professional and master the baby-jumbo? With tons of options any sim pilot will find something they enjoy.

Join the Indy Center Discord for tips and tricks on flying into non-towered airports. Our members are always happy to help!

News / ZME Has a New ATM!
« Last post by Brandon Wening on December 15, 2025, 12:22:58 AM »
Please join me in congratulating the new ATM for ZME, Chris Fronczek! Chris has served as a training staff member in multiple ARTCCs across the division previously, and most recently served as the ZME DATM. During his time as ZME DATM, Chris enjoyed interacting with the community directly and encouraging members to get involved in entertaining and educational opportunities throughout the subdivision, such as the social media team, events team, and more! Chris has a strong passion for volunteerism and looks to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to grow while in ZME. With plans to further support controller training and continue building new traditions in ZME, I am confident that Memphis is in good hands under Chris' leadership. Congratulations, Chris!

I'd also like to thank the outgoing ZME ATM, Dylan Lundberg. Dylan has been a prominent member across the division for MANY years (some may say too long, but not me). Within a 14 year period, Dylan served in every ARTCC staff position except FE, was an ATM three times, TA twice, EC twice, and served as a VATUSA Region Air Traffic Director. He has volunteered as a training staff member in subdivisions from coast to coast, and continues to do that on top of his duties as a VATSIM Supervisor. His contributions are truly immeasurable, but I can confidently say they made our division and the network a better place for all. Dylan is embarking on the exciting new adventure to become a real-world air traffic controller, a dream that grew from his time on VATSIM. Dylan, we are so proud of you and wish you all the best as you chase your dream! Thank you for the leadership and inspiration you demonstrated throughout your years of service to the network. We will miss having you on staff, but know you will be successful in your next chapter.
