Events / Cross the Pond 2026
« Last post by Dan Michael Bonaga on April 20, 2026, 08:15:58 PM »

We are pleased to return for another Cross the Pond, this time following the fun eastbound on April 25th, 2026.

Cross The Pond is the largest and longest-running event on VATSIM (over 20 years). The event takes place annually, flying between the two sides of the Atlantic Ocean - alternating between Westbound and Eastbound every year. Hundreds of pilots light up the virtual skies, and dozens of controllers burn both ends of the candle to provide professional ATC service over the Ocean and the Continents.

Our teams of volunteers are already working in the background for this next edition, so we will be posting updates soon!

To keep in touch with news regarding the event, you can follow us on our social media and look for the hashtag #CTP26

We also have a dedicated discord server, which is going to get busier as we approach show-day. To join us, head over to https://ctp.vatsim.net/discord and follow the instructions on your screen.

Events / [05/09/2026] The Atlanta Perimeter
« Last post by Timothy Makarov on April 13, 2026, 01:19:56 AM »

Some drivers think that i-285 is the smart option to get around the middle of Atlanta traffic. However, as rush hour moves in, there is no way of making it across A-Town without pulling your hair out.

Thankfully as the sun sets, this loop turns into a race track. Although the changing LED 'Speed Limit' signs show 55 mph, drivers use them merely as a suggestion. Now rather than preventing yourself from balding, you're making sure to check all of your mirrors before getting into a wreck.

Experience The Atlanta Perimeter with vZTL as we honor the Federal Highway Administration for making such a marvelous engineering masterpiece that really didn't solve many issues... maybe it made them worse.

Is it actually faster to stop at ATL, PDK, and then FTY by flying than it is driving? Find out on May 9th.

64 miles of pure chaos. Always check your blind spots.

Airports: KATL, KPDK, KFTY
Times: 2300z-0300z

Events / [05/08/2026] Things to do in Ohio
« Last post by Hayden Young on April 04, 2026, 03:09:57 PM »

Returning for the 4th year, Things to do in Ohio brings you the Friday Night Operations action you crave in the majestic plains of Ohio. Ohio gets it's name from the Seneca word for "long creek" after a small river was the only notable thing they found in the land. In modern times it's a vibrant region with many interesting things to do, even if we can't think of any examples at the time of writing.

So, anyway, lets fly some airplanes! Featuring Cleveland (CLE), Akron (CAK), Dayton (DAY), and Columbus (CMH) from 1900 to 2300 eastern, 2300 to 0300 zulu.
