Aloha to Everyone!

HCF is looking for a motivated individual who is experienced and able to take on the challenges of becoming a member of our staff as the Facility Engineer.  The new Facility Engineer will be responsible for keeping controllers and Staff up-to-date with any new procedures and airspace changes that CRC and vNAS have brought to our virtual controlling world.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains HCF and ZUA sector, position and alias files for vSTARS and vERAM
- Updating CRC by adding new Fix Labels when required
- Stays up-to-date with new procedures and airspace changes
- Maintains the HCF Discord channel
- Maintains the training booking system (currently using Scheddy)
- Assists with creation and maintenance of Sweatbox simulation files and scenarios on ATC Trainer
- Maintains an active presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network
- Other duties as required

Required Qualifications
- Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing along with a clean record
- Has not been suspended on the network for at least one year year prior to date of this posting
- Capable of working well in a team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of the FAA Airspace and Air Traffic Control systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Currently holds a rating of S3 or higher (S2 will be considered if applicant is currently in training to be an S3.  If an S2 is the successful applicant, S3 rating must be achieved not more than 60 days from appointment to FE)

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous or current ARTCC staff experience is preferable
- Real world aviation experience would be an asset

This position requires a significant commitment to HCF, VATUSA and VATSIM.

Purpose:
Denver ARTCC are looking for a motivated individual that possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Events Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the ATM and DATM.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
- Manages a team of highly qualified individuals as part of the Events Team.
- Functions as an ARTCC junior staff member and attends meetings as necessary.
- Identifies and develops events to generate traffic and promote the ARTCCs.
- Develops and distributes marketing materials to promote ARTCC events.
- Implements and oversees approved events.
- Acts as CIC during ARTCC events when able, or designates a replacement on their behalf.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to arrange support for local events.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to provide vZDV support.
- Maintains relationships with VAs and coordinates support for VA events.

Requirements:

- Supports the Denver ARTCC’s mission of “Community, integrity, and professionalism” while fostering an open and accepting environment.
- Must hold at least an Terminal Controller (S3) rating (C1 rating is preferred).
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and manage a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable).
- Familiarity with Denver policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism.
- Previous VATUSA staff experience.

O'Hare is also open if that's more your style -- we recommend taking your heavys and A380's over there.

Cleveland ARTCC (ZOB) – Deputy Air Traffic Manager (DATM) Vacancy

The Cleveland ARTCC is currently seeking qualified and motivated applicants for the position of Deputy Air Traffic Manager (DATM). The DATM works closely with the Air Traffic Manager to provide leadership, direction, and management of day-to-day ARTCC operations.



Responsibilities
• Maintain an active presence on Discord, email, and the VATSIM network 
• Assist in leading ARTCC operations as a senior staff member 
• Attend staff meetings as required by the ATM 
• Serve as Acting ATM when requested or in the absence of the ATM 
• Proactively manage and maintain the ARTCC roster 
• Support the development and success of ARTCC members 
• Assist the Events Coordinator with event planning affecting ZOB airspace 
• Assist the Facility Engineer with oversight of facility files 
• Support ARTCC projects from planning through implementation 
• Other duties as assigned by the ATM 



Minimum Requirements
• C1 rating or higher 
• Active VATSIM member in good standing 
• Must be a current member of ZOB, or willing to transfer upon selection 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment 



Additional Information
This is not an entry-level staff position. The DATM role carries a significant workload and requires dedication, professionalism, and consistent engagement. Applicants should apply only if prepared to meet these expectations.

- Assists in management of ATC Roster, permissions and access, Discord administration, and other general administrative tasks associated with the ATC organization as delegated within the guidance provided by the Air Traffic Manager
- Assists in the development and writing of ARTCC SOPs, LOAs, Policies, and more

- Completes other duties as assigned by ATM

- Be able to meet all activity requirements as outlined in ZLC JO 7210.1B and all sections thereof (as appropriate)
- Must hold the rating of Controller 1 (C1) or higher
- This position requires a time commitment of an average of four (4) hours per week working on administrative tasks

Preferred Skills:
- Prior ATC Mentor/Instructor experience
- Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable)
- Prior experience in ARTCC Senior Staff or Junior Staff
- Real world aviation/pilot experience
- Familiarity with the Salt Lake ARTCC policies and procedures
- Demonstrates the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism

It’s Sunday in America, and that can only mean one thing: football! This Sunday, let’s turn on a different “big screen” and open up Philadelphia (PHL) for all the Eagles fans (and haters). One thing is for sure, though. There will be no “Rocky” starts to this fun event!

Come join the New York ARTCC for our final major event of 2025. Thank you all for an incredible year of events, and we can’t wait to see you all next year!
