News / ZHU Has a New ATM!
« Last post by Brandon Wening on April 03, 2025, 10:16:26 AM »
Please join me in congratulating the new ATM of the Houston ARTCC, Gregory Albrecht! Gregory is moving up from his current role as the ZHU DATM, but he is also excited to continue serving as an instructor for the facility. In looking to the future, Gregory looks to make ZHU a stable environment for all to learn how to control and take advantage of the variety of flying experiences the vast airspace holds. Gregory's number one mission is to make sure that everyone enjoys their time on VATSIM, and he is excited to continue working with the rest of the ZHU staff team to come up with new ideas to continue providing the best service to all network members. Congrats Gregory!

I'd also like to thank the outgoing ATM, William Simmons, for all the time and effort he poured into the facility during his tenure. Stepping up to the plate during an essential time in ZHU's history, William helped guide the facility to better days and carried on the long-standing traditions and goals of ZHU. William is stepping down due to a wonderful real-world career move, and we wish him nothing but the best going forward! Thanks William
