Within VATUSA Acadamy , Under: ZAB Events Training/General/Guidelines for Course Completion, and Updates, there are four classroom sections called out.  Each section concludes with: "Schedule training with an instructor via the SetMore link on the Student Dashboard."  I have completed all of these classroom sections but I have not been able to find a "SETMore" link on my student dashboard page.  Would someone please help me understand how this next step in training works?

OFF Topic:  I have never been contracted by anyone related to any aspect of VATUSA, except a welcome email from the ZAB ATM.   At some point I'd like to have a chance to be involved in some activity at PHX/P50/ZAB?  I can't imagine how that is going to happen.

Events / [09/26/2025] The New York FNO: BaconEggCheese
« Last post by Daniel Sirota on August 01, 2025, 05:19:53 PM »

The English language has truly developed and blossomed over centuries, but one word in particular has stood out: baconeggcheese. Roam the streets of New York City, and you’ll hear locals uttering this prehistoric word to deli clerks all over the city. In fact, the world record for longest word goes to some random dude in Midtown who walked into a deli and said “yeahhowyadoinlemmegetabaconeggcheesesaltpepperketchuponrye.” True story!

The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is what unites us all, and this year, the New York ARTCC invites you to our table to experience this delicious delicacy embodied as our three major airports. Your bacon is sourced from the Hudson Express in Newark (EWR). Your egg comes from one of 100 Dunkin’ stands in LaGuardia (LGA). And the cheese? Oh, you better believe that’s coming from the one and only, Kennedy (JFK)!

Join us for our annual fall FNO, and you too can experience all there is to see, taste, and smell, of our flagship cuisine!

But we do have…one more thing! During the FNO, you have the ability to be entered into a chance at winning one of 8 scenery giveaways! A huge thank you to Drzewiecki Design (4 EWR) and iniBuilds (4 JFK, either for MSFS 2020 or 2024, your choice) for making this possible! Here’s how to enter:

During the event, send a PM to NY_T_CTR, and include the following information:
  • VATSIM CID
  • Email Address
  • Flight Origin & Destination (you must fly into or out of EWR, LGA, or JFK, to be eligible)

To restate that, if you fly into ANY EVENT FIELD (EWR, LGA, or JFK), and you follow the aforementioned steps, you will be entered into the giveaway. Please spread the love across all three fields!

And that’s all there is to it! Limit one entry and one prize per user. Our hard-working controllers will also be automatically entered to win from their own pool, and drawings will take place following the close of the event (11pm Eastern). No late entries! Winners will be contacted via email following the drawing, and the EWR and JFK sceneries will be assigned via a randomizer.

Date & Time: Friday, September 26, 2025, 7:00pm → 11:00pm Eastern (2300z - 0300)

In the Regional Circuit, we staff up multiple of our airports to provide pilots with an opportunity to receive 'gate-to-gate' ATC service for the duration of the event. Pilots are encouraged to fly between the airports and make the return flight if time allows; however, traffic from other airports is welcome as well. The Regional Circuit always creates an immersive atmosphere with busy frequencies and congested airways between the host airports.

This Regional Circuit features Bangor (KBGR) and Syracuse (KSYR) airports.
