Purpose:The Salt Lake City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Events Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the ATM and DATM.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
- Manages a team of highly qualified individuals as part of the Events Team.
- Functions as an ARTCC junior staff member and attends meetings as necessary.
- Identifies and develops events to generate traffic and promote the ARTCCs.
- Develops and distributes marketing materials to promote ARTCC events.
- Implements and oversees approved events.
- Acts as CIC or TMU during ARTCC events when able, or designates a replacement on their behalf.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to arrange support for local events.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to provide vZLC support.
- Maintains relationships with VAs and coordinates support for VA events.
Requirements:- Must hold at least an Aerodrome Controller (S2) rating (S3/C1 rating is preferred).
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and manage a team.
Preferred Skills:- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable).
- Familiarity with Salt Lake City ARTCC policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism.
- Have previous experience working with an event team.
