Just make it so every controller can control anywhere per their GRP rating all across VATUSA. Then if you want a major airport checkout you seek out a instructor at that facility.

Frankly with the increased effort of the VATUSA training department, I think this is something that needs to be considered. I'd like anyone to show me valid information as to why an S2 in xxx ARTCC shouldn't be able to work a minor field in YYY ARTCC with a written SOP and a copy of airport charts in hand?

It's been suggested, but there are always a handful of vocal facilities that insist that their minor field is SO much more complicated that it couldn't possibly be worked without weeks of training. Maybe it's not a terrible idea if Division would take that under consideration with the training standardization and mandate minor field compliance with GRP...

Nothing I've seen besides the initial "we received your interest" stuff.

What Ryan said. I still have about a 1/5 chance of having to force close the process through task manager and launching it manually.  >:(

If the information you stated is in fact what happened Owen, I would highly suggest that you send any relevant information via email to supervisors@vatsim.net so that it can be looked at for misuse of supervisory privileges. As was pointed out it is not typical for a supervisor to give a 48hr suspension for the first offense, unless the member involved is violating a major foundation of the network (swearing, harassing someone, etc), or has a significant history of similar infractions.

The Control Room Floor / Re: Possible to track status of transfer request?
« on: September 08, 2018, 05:22:36 am »
Hello all!

Just wondering if there is any way I can see/track my transfer request to ZLC. I passed my S1 exam and put in the request last weekend but haven't heard anything since and it still shows that my facility is Academy. I'm not trying to be pushy or anything, just want to make sure my request actually wen't through and the wheels are in motion. :)

While the information is very limited, you should be able to see it by going to My Vatusa/Profile (it will show that there is a pending transfer), second line from the bottom. I would suggest you reach out to the ATM and DATM of ZLC though. They can be reached by emailing ZLC-ATM[at]vatusa.net and ZLC-DATM[at]vatusa.net respectively just in case something wonky went on and they are not aware of your request.
