TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR
SEATTLE ARTCC
The Seattle ARTCC (vZSE) is currently seeking a Training Administrator who will provide compelling training capability and effective management and leadership of the vZSE Air Traffic Training function.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reports jointly to the Seattle Air Traffic Manager and the VATUSA Training Director
- Manage and lead the training program to make it effective and efficient for all ARTCC controllers
- Maintains an adequate staff of instructors and mentors to meet ARTCC training needs
- Update and maintain training website material and certification system
- Maintain a high online presence
- Performs duties of a staff Instructor
- Develops and implements training policies and procedures
- Functions as an ARTCC staff member and attends periodic meetings as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by ATM
Required Skills:
- Must be an active member of the network in good standing with a clean history
- Currently hold a rating of Controller (C1) or higher (within the past 90 days)
- Capable of working well in a team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of the United States and VATSIM ATC system
- Strong knowledge of FAA Order 7110.65
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Currently serving (preferred), or previously served, as an Instructor within VATUSA
- Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience
- Prior TA experience
- Real-world aviation experience
- Familiarity with the Seattle ARTCC training program/system
