PurposeZBW is currently seeking an Events Coordinator (EC), who will provide leadership and management to all ARTCC/community events, act as a liaison between virtual airlines and the ARTCC, and more.
Key Accountabilities
- Report to BVA Air Traffic Manager
- Liaison to VATUSA for event related matters, including (but not limited to): FNO bids, CTP planning, TMU
- Liaison to adjacent facilities for purposes of coordinating event related matters
- Liaison to virtual aviation organizations
- Work closely with Community Content Coordinator on event creation and management
- Manage event planning and roster tracking tools
- Manage ATC Hub resources related to event planning and rostering
- Manage external event advertising (VATUSA, VATSIM, etc)
- Prepare pre-event planning and briefing document
- Manage all operational and logistic components of BVA ATC Live Events
- Maintain a high online presence
- Other duties as assigned
- Function as an Administrator and attends bi-monthly meetings
Requirements- Active member on the network in good standing with a clean history
- Minimum rating of S3 with knowledge of ZBW airspace
- Capable of working well in team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with emphasis on attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Access to and strong ability with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Word
Preferred Skills
- Rating of C1 or higher with advanced knowledge of ZBW airspace
- Prior ATC Mentor/Instructor experience
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to create event banners and other media using graphic design software

Successful candidates will be invited to an interview with the Administration Team. In addition to the interview, candidates will be provided with a fictitious event and asked to produce specific deliverables for that event.
