ZLA Seeks Lead Events Coordinator

ZLA is looking for a Lead Events Coordinator!

The lead event coordinator is key to connecting pilots and controllers. We're looking for someone who is motivated, experienced and willing to take on new challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Delegates to and empowers the ZLA Events Team
- Develops and plans regular large and small events promoting ZLA airspace (including developing graphics and promoting events)
- Coordinates controller event participation
- Coordinates events with neighboring facilities
- Coordinates support for events at neighboring facilities
- Coordinates with VATUSA vATCSCC
- Solicits feedback for and debriefs each event with the Facility Staff
- Stays up to date with VATUSA, VATSIM and virtual airline events
- Serves as liaison to virtual airlines and other pilot organizations
- Maintains an active presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network
- Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
- Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no significant derogatory marks
- Currently hold a rating of Senior Student (S3) or higher
- Capable of working well in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous or current ARTCC staff or events experience
- Real world aviation experience


This position requires a significant commitment to ZLA and VATSIM. Role and responsibilities may change as needed.
