Location: Bangor (KBGR) and Burlington (KBTV) In the Regional Circuit, controllers fully staff two airports, providing complete 'gate-to-gate' coverage over the three-hour event. The focus airports are typically 80-200nm apart, and a high volume of pilots operating in this compressed airspace means the Regional Circuit provides optimal conditions for congested frequencies and busy airways.
During the event, pilots are encouraged to fly between both airports, completing the return flight when time allows. Preferred routes are provided to expedite traffic flow into and out of congested approach airspaces. With controller-to-controller handoffs happening each time you pass through a sector, there is nothing more immersive in our event lineup than a busy Regional Circuit.
