Rochester is located about 75 miles (65nm) South-Southeast of the Minneapolis area and is home to the world renowned Mayo Clinic. Many medical flights frequent the airport on a yearly basis from around the world to obtain the best medical care available. The airport even has it's own dedicated section of the terminal to accommodate patients travelling between the airport and clinic.
Feel free to fly your jets, props, or helicopters into and out of RST as we place focus on one of the lesser known gems of the Minneapolis ARTCC. This is a great opportunity to brush up on general aviation communications and procedures with some of the most professional and realistic ATC in the division. Air carrier service is also available to/from ORD, ATL and a hop, skip and a jump away from MSP for those that wish to fly commercial.
