Eastern is back and invading airspaces around the country and across the world.
Our old Virtual Airline known as evair is no more. The owner of the website, evair, went missing in action. After 10 years of a solid, consistent VA, we had nowhere else to turn and no way to renew the website or the VA name; we decided to start a new Virtual Airline.
It is with great pride that we introduce our new and improved Virtual Airline, Eastern Airlines Virtual. Being mirrored after the now defunct real-world airline, we offer flight plans around the United States and select destinations around the globe. From the old site to the new, we have a great Eastern community who has been flying together for more than 10 years. Only one or two Virtual Airlines can claim the same.
We proudly participate in the Virtual Airline Financial Systems, VAFS. VAFS is a financial reporting system for virtual airlines. It records financial data, tracks aircraft, pilot reporting, and cargo data. With VAFS, a virtual airline can lease new aircraft or simply buy new aircraft as the funds become available. One can also track their Virtual Pay. VAFS is soon to offer an online flying community. Once released, you can join another Eastern pilot and fly the same flight plan while viewing your Eastern brother from your cockpit. No more default traffic, look out your window and watch your friend take-off or land.
Eastern offers more than 30 aircraft available for download to all of their members. We have aircraft from twin-props to the major passenger jets and everything in between. You can even choose from two Eastern paint schemes. Along with the aircraft to download, we offer an online voice server. You can log on and chat with another Eastern Virtual pilot.
Within our webpage is a forum devoted exclusively to Eastern and flight simulation. Log on, post a question and someone will respond; typically within hours.
We encourage online flying although it is not a requirement. If you wish to try online flying, check out our forum. There are numerous pilots who are available to help you get set up.
From time to time, management positions become available. We encourage all to apply for these positions as they become available. These are typically Hub Manager and Assistant Hub Manager Positions.
