We're approaching the holiday season and with it vZDC's annual Capital Christmas event has returned. On December 20th vZDC will be opening up Washington National Airport (KDCA) from 2345-0500z (1845-0000 local). This event marks the only time each year we feature KDCA by itself as the airport boasts one of the more difficult and tight airspaces in the country which is sure to bring a challenge for both pilots and controllers.
