Ric Ruminski announces his retirement
« on: December 23, 2015, 12:42:52 AM »
Normally I'd ask my Division Communications Manager to make a VATUSA HQ retirement announcement, but this one seemed much more appropriate to come from me....  ;)

With a long, successful career under his belt, both in the professional world, as well as in the VATUSA world, Ric Ruminski, VATUSA Division Communications Manager, has announced his retirement both professionally and from the VATUSA HQ Staff.  Ric will see us through to the end of the year, but then is planning to enjoy his retirement -- The Golden Years -- by traveling and visiting family and friends.

Ric has been active with VATSIM for nearly 12 years, served as a controller in both ZMA and ZAN, and has served in his current role on the VATUSA staff for nearly 10 years.  As such, he has served 5 different Division Directors successfully during 6 terms, and has been the longest-serving member of the VATUSA Staff.  I have personally appreciated the continuity that Ric brought to the HQ Staff over the years, his wise counsel, and the willingness to immediately support each and every request that was made of him and his utter professionalism in carrying out his duties.

Please join me in raising your glasses and toasting Ric for a successful career professionally, his long-term success within VATUSA, and most importantly, wishing him health and many years of enjoyment to come!

If there was one constant in my years in VATUSA it has been Ric.  He was a professional at what he did, and he did it in a manner that one could never question his loyalties.

I wish him well; he has more than earned the time off for the next part of his life.
