RyanAir Delivery Flight 6 [07-10Z]

Over 100 pilots are expected to be departing Boeing Field (KBFI) on February 24th, starting at PLEASE NOTE: 11:00PM PST for the vRyan Air Delivery flight. They will be bringing new 737s from Boeing Field, to Dublin, Ireland (EIDW). They currently have three hours worth of slots at three minute intervals. The first pushback is at 11:30PM PST, but controllers should be online starting at 11 for clearances.

Interesting Don posts this on the day of the event. It just so happened that Oceanic was online for the FRA -> JFK event. I get if VA's don't want ATC, but if they do, places need to be notified much sooner than this.

We were notified a few months ago, along with the Shannon FIR. I'm not sure if the VA coordinated with anyone in between.

The only reason I posted it was the last time a VA asked ZSE to come out in the middle of the night, promising over 100 aircraft, I think they got like 5 or 6.  I knew it was a real long shot that anyone would see it that time of night and just an hour or so before the beginning of the event, but I thought I'd drum up any traffic I could for the good folks from ZSE that dutifully came out in large numbers in the middle of the night, just in case it was another VA-caused night shift fail.  I was happy to see, however, that the VA did indeed come out in spades!

And yes, this was indeed several hours before the EDDF/KJFK event.

It just so happened that Oceanic was online for the FRA -> JFK event.

The RYRs were going over Canada, Greenland and Iceland, just passing through a corner of Shanwick of about 300 nm.
Reykjavik was notified a month before.
