VRC - Requested level too high

Hello,
My name is Aleksandar Holovka and I am an S1 at ZNY.
I haven't been able to control for a while due to homework, exams, etc.
Today, I finally decided to take the time to do some controlling when I see this...

I searched it up online and it said that the error comes up when you selected a rank that you're not certified for when logging on, however I know that's not true since I just selected S1 (A position that I know I'm certified for since I've been certified it after a successful training session (1 month ago), and since I was controlling using "S1" just fine the last time I was on (a week ago).)

I verified that my login details were fully correct.

I am very confused and have no idea what to do now.
Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aleksandar,

I've checked your account, you are shown as an S1 here however checkout here: https://cert.vatsim.net/sso/home/dashboard/

It will show your rating linked to your account in a box on the right.

If it's wrong, contact membership support and see what they can do

Hey Matt,

I've checked the dashboard and it says that I'm an S1. However VRC is still not letting me log in as S1. I will now contact the membership team. Thanks for the reply.

Before you ask Membership for assistance I suggest you speak with one of the training staff at ZNY.  They know you best and should be able to help you sort through this.

FYI, seconds ago a ZBW S1 reported to me that he is having the same issue. He has connected as an S1 dozens and dozens of times before, that said, I think it must be a glitch with the network.

UPDATE: I troubleshooted the best I could and could not seem to figure it out. I have posted to the VATSIM forum "Network Problems" thread.
