Location: Denver ARTCC and all ATC facilities within its area of control.

Denver is looking for a motivated individual that possess a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Event’s Coordinator.

Job Requirements:
•   Supports the Denver ARTCC’s mission of “Creating a Positive Environment to Learn, Control, and Fly.”
•   Serves as a Leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
•   Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
•   Works in collaboration with Virtual Airlines and other VATUSA ARTCC’s to leverage synergy opportunities across the United States.
•   Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to arrange support for ZDV-hosted events, and arranges ZDV support for neighboring events.
•   Develops and distributes marketing material (graphics, news posts, forum posts, etc) to promote events and the ARTCC.
•   Supports the recruitment, retention and development of a diverse range of talented people.
•   Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with memorable experiences.
•   Understands and drives appropriate metrics to assess controller performance within the Event’s environment.
•   Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.
•   Maintains an online presence on the VATSIM server and ZDV TeamSpeak.
•   Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.

Application Requirements:

•   Must have at least an S3 rating. C1 controllers preferred.
•   Must abide by the minimum required hours as dictated in the ZDV SOP; 1 controlling hour a month and 2-4 hours fulfilling EC duties every week.
•   Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
•   Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
•   Must be able to work in a team environment.
•   Must be available for regular correspondence (via the primary means of e-mail), as well as routinely checking VATUSA forums and other outlets for official notices.
Candidates can expect an initial evaluation of their application after which they may be contacted for a comprehensive interview.
