Purpose:
Salt Lake City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Facility Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the ATM and DATM.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
- Manages a team of highly qualified individuals as part of the Facilities Team.
- Functions as a vZLC ARTCC junior staff member and attends meetings as necessary.
- Maintains and updates the vZLC Virtual NAS data.
- Maintains and updates vATIS facilities files.
- Assists the TA in the creation of Sweatbox or other files as directed by the TA.
Requirements:
- Must hold at least an Aerodrome Controller (S2) rating (S3/C1 rating is preferred).
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and manage a team.
- Must possess sufficient technical knowledge to execute the responsibilities of the position.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable).
- Familiarity with Denver and Salt Lake City ARTCC policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism.
