What now? No ARTCC re-assignment option?
« on: October 26, 2009, 09:12:57 AM »
I'm looking to reassign myself from the CZYZ FIR in VATCAN over to the KZLA (Los Angeles) vARTCC. Visiting the ZLA site, I was directed to the VATUSA site to fill out the transfer form. I log in, and it says the option should be under the myVATUSA drop down menu, except it's not. What do I do now? When I try to become a new controller, it says I'm already assigned to VATCAN. I've already passed the VATUSA Basic Controller Exam. Is there an option somewhere I'm missing?

The only options I have is 'My Profile' and 'Exam Center'

Austin.

I *believe* you must first transfer from VATCAN to VATUSA before you can select an ARTCC, and I think that has to go through either your director or VATUSA's. Not much help I know, but I think that's the situation, at least it used to be.
I'm sure someone with the right info will be along soon.

Hi,

Go to http://www.vatsim.net. Then hover your mouse over 'Member Services', select 'Account Changes' and then 'Select a Division in a Region'.

Cheers!

Don't think that works if you've already been assigned to a division, Paul. Give it a shot.
