Please join me in welcoming Brighton McMinn as the newest Southern Region Air Traffic Director, VATUSA. In addition to his most recent role as Air Traffic Manager at the Fort Worth ARTCC, Brighton has previously served as DATM of the Fort Worth and Oakland ARTCCs, and as Training Administrator and Events Coordinator at the Houston ARTCC. Brighton also serves as a VATSIM Supervisor and Instructor. Brighton shares the Division's vision to build a strong culture, increase training bandwidth, improve retention and spur growth. I look forward to seeing continued great things from the Southern Region.
Please also join me in thanking Kevin Copeland for his nearly 3 years of service in the role. Although Kevin needs to step back to devote more time to work and personal matters, he has agreed to help with the transition. Kevin, you've done a great job, often under trying circumstances, and I truly appreciate all you've done. we look forward to seeing more of you as life allows.
