Event Timelapses!
« on: April 07, 2019, 09:06:38 pm »
Hi all,

I've seen a lot of people start doing timelapses of events at their facilities, so I figured I'd make a post here for everyone to share what they've made since they're pretty cool to watch. I'll start the ball rolling with a timelapse of ZMP's FNO last week that I put together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i20OhxL2qjE

Hey, I'll keep this going with a timelapse of my own!
Same event, same tracon as Daniel, but a bit more zoomed out

There are many.  My personal favorite?  Ignore it altogether. Seems to work the best.  8)

Cool video, Daniel.

Hi,

There are a couple of ways to accomplish this. If you are controlling, just record it, then speed it up using some sort of editing software (such as Sony Vegas, or similar). If you are not controlling for the event, you could login as an observer, then like the last option, record it and speed it up.

That's the best way I could think of doing this. Alternately if you are controlling and zoom in, or whatever else you could open up another window (like in VRC) and just open up the sector, and have your recording software only record that specific window.

Hope this helps.
