Job Title: Facility Engineer
Location: Anchorage ARTCC and all ATC facilities within its area of control.

Anchorage is looking for a motivated individual that possess a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Facility Engineer.

Job Requirements:

Maintains and updates sector files for all approved ATC client software, updating at least every AIRAC cycle.
Maintains vATIS configuration files.
Maintains POF and alias files.
Coordinates with adjacent ARTCCs as required, specifically relating to frequency issues.
Ensures established LOAs are fully represented within sector files and other procedures.
Performs other facility related work as directed by the Senior Staff at ZAN.
Serves as a Leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
Supports the recruitment, retention and development of a diverse range of talented people.
Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with memorable experiences.
Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.
Maintains an online presence on the VATSIM server.
Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.

Application Requirements:

Must abide by the minimum required hours as dictated in the ZAN SOP; 1 controlling hour a month and 2-4 hours fulfilling FE duties every week.
Applicants must have a thorough working knowledge of VRC and vATIS, at least a good knowledge of Euroscope and be familiar with vSTARS and vERAM.
Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be available for regular correspondence (via the primary means of e-mail), as well as routinely checking VATUSA forums and other outlets for official notices.
Ability to learn CRC and create the appropriate files

Preferred Skills:
Provides evidence of commitment and self-motivation.
Previous experience either as a FE or in assisting an existing FE.
Ability to create Tower Trainer/ATCTrainer files for training purposes.
Ability to create Euroscope files for training purposes.
