New Guy - help

OK - I am very slow learner and I have been trying to sucessfully fly on VATSIM off and on last night and today. After my last attempt (just figured out Chat), I get a msg saying "Connection failed - User Prob: VID/Password suspended. Now I cannot connect to VATSIM. Is this the way all new folks are treated? I have been flying online since '99 and I well aware of learned curves I have noticed over time. I must say if this is how it will be here, it's cool - just tell me and I will take my virtual presence elsewhere.

Have you been flying this entire time since '99? If not, I'd assume that your account went inactive.

Hey Ryan - I am new to VATSIM, but have been flying online since '99 (MS Zone - European Air War, HyperLobby - Lock On: Modern Air Combat and IL-2 Sturmvick. I have been trying to get my setup correct on VATSIM since last night and was so close today before my accout was supsended. I guess to much connecting and disconnecting from server.

I am off to spend some QT with the wife before she bails on my like VATSIM has. There isn't even a working email link to ask for help.

Your account was probably suspended because of the false name you're using.

Really? You didn't think that using such an obvious false name (especially one that could cause offense) would get your account frozen?
