Also,

Fast reply seems to be adding (edit) to my previous post rather than adding a new post. Is that intentional?

Cheers!

Yes, if you were the last person to reply it will automatically amend your last reply within a certain amount of time (I forget exactly how much)

mmm,

Not really a fan of that feature. Anyone else?

If I want to amend a previous post, then I use edit. Otherwise if it does this, posts will start to look confusing. Now, let me go back to that previous post and edit it so it makes sense.

Cheers!

[!--quoteo--][div class=\\\'quotetop\\\']QUOTE [/div][div class=\\\'quotemain\\\'][!--quotec--]Howdy,

It's a bit cluttered, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Any chance that we can edit topic titles also? I just made a typo in the title of my first post and I can't change it.

Cheers![/quote]

Ok,

I see what it's doing. It's auto formatting the titles.

ie. My titles should read vZBW, not Vzbw.

Do I get to change this behaviour also as a staff member or is that your pervue Brian?

Cheers!

Its unfortunately not something I can turn off so we are basically stuck with it.

Can we maybe switch forum software then?

Because that is a pain in the rear end and it's a time waster.

Nice work Brian looks nice.

Question regarding the inividual ARTCC forums, although it's a nice gesture, as we have our own forums, can we get a re-direct back to our own site?

Thanks!

Please strongly consider this; the various strata of VATSIM bureaucracy are already difficult enough to navigate without seeing multiple forums claiming to be 'the ZLA forums' (just as an example). Unless you are going to mandate that each ARTCC remove their self-hosted forums and use this (which I personally think would be a big mistake), there is no need for duplication and it just creates confusion for new controllers just trying to find information and be in the right place.

I also agree.

While you all bring up valid points, VATUSA has decided that there needs to be a singular place with boards that are openly accessible for each ARTCC.  Certain ARTCC's forums have many "hoops" that one must jump through prior to gaining access to their forums.  Posting up links with each ARTCC's individual forums is fine but we are not going to remove a board and replace it with a redirect to yet another forum that a member must register at.

I agree with the other posters - confusing the issue with multiple forums labeled "ZAB" do not help anything.

Also, I see that "new staff members are added on the hour, every hour" or however it is put in your first post. I have yet to be granted the necessary staff access. When shall I expect that?
