Join the controllers of the Washington ARTCC as we host the 3rd annual 4th of July Preparty. This year we're moving the event to the city of Baltimore and featuring Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (KBWI). In the War of 1812 Fort McHenry successfully defended the city's harbor and the Battle of Baltimore became the inspiration to Francis Scott Key for the Star Spangled Banner: the US national anthem. Today Baltimore features service from all of the large US domestic carriers as well as an international destination as an easier alternative from the other Washington DC metropolitan airports.
