ZKC is starting a new event series called "Collegiate Aviation Series". ZKC airspace contains several collegiate aviation programs and we want to feature them in the form of events. We will be featuring 2 schools a month. The main focus of these events are to promote general aviation traffic within VATUSA. We would encourage you to fly your favorite general aviation aircraft. Whether it is practice approaches, VFR/IFR cross country flights, or pattern work, we got you covered!

This week we are featuring Spartan College of Aeronautics. This program is based out of Tulsa's Riverside Airport (KRVS). The flight program at Spartan College uses the Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna Caravan, Piper Seminole, Piper Arrow, and Spartan C3. You can expect services from Riverside Tower, Tulsa Approach, and Kansas City Center. Some good cross country destinations are KPNC, KSWO, KGOK, KMLC, KFSM, KXNA, KMIO, and KIDP.

Purdue was my second choice. Should have been my first if it wasn't for the cost.

I would love to see Liberty University thrown into the action. We fly into DCA, Dulles, KCLT all the time for some class bravo action. Even the occasional Atlanta... (yes we have students who do cross country to atlanta and slow down all the delta pilots lmao)

Liberty is based at KLYH just incase this ever is seen by anyone!

Shows offline for me, as well.  Can you try a super-refresh or another browser and see if you can still see it?  I can see it if I force browse it at http://kcartcc.com/assets/img/eventbanners/Spartan.jpg, but I can't see it if it's embedded here.  Chrome is just showing it failed, and I ensured that none of my plugins are getting in the way (the usual culprit is uMatrix):  http://prntscr.com/gyjrya
