Position Positing - ZFW Training Administrator
Purpose:
The Fort Worth ARTCC (ZFW) is seeking a qualified, professional and motivated individual to fulfil
the role of Training Administrator (TA).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees, develops and Manages the ZFW training program
- Reports to the ZFW Air Traffic Manager (ATM) and VATUSA Training Director (VATUSA3)
- Hires facility instructors and mentors in consultation with the ZFW ATM and DATM
- Develops scenario files using Situation Editor for usage in Tower Trainer
- Administer Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) Examinations on Sweatbox or the live VATSIM network
- Train and evaluate members of varying skill levels and controller rating
- Develop ZFW training policies
- Other duties as assigned by the ZFW ATM or DATM, or VATUSA3
Requirements
A successful candidate must:
- Hold at least a C1 rating
- Have held a rating of I1 for at least 30 days at any given time prior to hiring date
- Have previous training experience
- Have no disciplinary or unprofessional conduct in the last twelve months
- Be capable of working well in a team-oriented environment
- Have a strong knowledge of the United States Airspace and Air Traffic Control systems
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have the ability to create professional looking documents using Word or similar software
- Have membership as a home controller or visiting controller in ZFW (Must be certified through center)
Preferred Skills:
A successful candidate should have:
- Instructor/Mentor experience
- Previous or current ARTCC Senior Staff experience
- Supervisory, trainer, or management experience in virtual or real world
- Knowledge of Aircraft Situation Editor; will train if never utilized
- Joy in teaching and helping others develop relevant skills through their virtual ATC career
