Position Posting: Salt Lake City ARTCC Webmaster

Purpose:
Salt Lake City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Webmaster.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Air Traffic Manager and Deputy Air Traffic Manager regarding website matters
- Manages and oversees the ARTCC data services, including web content and delivery, web services, email systems, data storage systems, etc.
- Responds quickly to website and data system needs
- Maintains a high online presence and community presence
- Completes other duties as assigned by the ATM and DATM

Requirements:
-  Supports the Salt Lake City ARTCC’s mission of “Community, integrity, and professionalism” while fostering an open and accepting environment.
-  Be a member of ZLC, or be willing to transfer upon selection.
- Must be proficient with modern web programming languages and technologies, including frontend (HTML/CSS/JS), backend (Go or Rust or other), and general website technology
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Have previous staff experience in a VATSIM ATC facility or virtual airline
- Previous VATUSA Webteam or personal web project experience
- Experience managing a small group of people
- Some experience, knowledge, or willingness to learn Rust, Linux app hosting, security, and programming best practices.

Must be a Flyfdx-vac.org crew members and a member of our Discord community
Strong communication and organizational skills
Minimum of 30 virtual pilot hours with at least 1 FedEx VAC PIREPs
VATSIM experience is highly preferred

The VATUSA Training Department is starting a refresh of the Academy courses and is looking for people to help with the update. This is a temporary secondary position, and accepted candidates will remain assigned to their ARTCCs.

Key Responsibilities
- Reports to VATUSA9, VATUSA's Training and Curriculum Manager
- Develops course materials, including slide content, audio/video content and other multimedia content
- Assists in the development of course outline
- Assists in creating and vetting of testing material

Requirements
- Hold at least an S3 rating or higher (well qualified S2 candidates may also be considered)
- VATUSA member in good standing and with a clean history
- Capable of working independently
- Strong knowledge of VATSIM/US ATC system
- Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)

Preferred Skills
- Experience creating audio and/or visual content
- Experience with the Moodle or Canvas learning management systems
