ZOA is searching for an Events Coordinator. The EC coordinates and facilitates ARTCC events and neighboring ARTCC event support. We are searching for a motivated individual for this position!

Key Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Deputy Air Traffic Manager and Air Traffic Manager
  • Coordinate with divisional/neighboring ARTCCs for event support and planning purposes
  • Act as primary liaison between virtual aviation organizations and the ARTCC
  • Develop ideas for events which promote the ARTCC and community, potentially including but not limited to member gatherings, group flights, and fly-in/fly-out events
  • Manage event position assignments and position restrictions when necessary
  • Develop and distribute (via social media, website, etc.) marketing material to promote events, the ARTCC, and the community
  • Oversee Assistant Events Coordinator position if established
  • Maintain a high online presence
  • Other duties as assigned by ATM/DATM
  • Function as a Staff member and attends quarterly meetings
Requirements
  • S2 rating or higher
  • Active member on the network in good standing with a clean history
  • Capable of working well in team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A creative mind with lots of ambition
  • Experience with photo editing software/ digital graphic design
Preferred Skills

  • C1 Rating or higher
  • Prior ATC Mentor/Instructor experience
  • Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience
  • Prior social media management experience
  • Prior graphic design (banners, flyers, etc.) experience
  • Access to Adobe Photoshop

Boston Virtual ARTCC

Purpose

ZBW is currently seeking a Training Administrator who will manage and lead the ZBW ATC training program.

Key Accountabilities

●      Report to Air Traffic Manager and VATUSA Division Training Manager

●      Manage and lead the training program to make it effective and efficient for all ARTCC controllers

●      Maintain an adequate staff of instructors and mentors to meet ARTCC training needs

●      Update and maintain training website material and certification system

●      Develop and implement training policies, SOPs, and more

●      Oversee and manage student assignments to training staff

●      Perform duties as a staff Instructor

●      Maintain a high online presence

●      Other duties as assigned by ATM/DATM/VATUSA Division Training Manager

●      Function as an ARTCC Administrator and attend bi-monthly meetings

Requirements

●      C1 rating or higher

●      Active member on the network in good standing without recent disciplinary history

●      Capable of working well in team-oriented environment

●      Strong knowledge of VATSIM/US ATC system

●      Strong knowledge of FAA Order 7110.65

●      Strong knowledge of Consolidated Radar Client (CRC)

●      Experience as a Training Staff Member in a VATSIM facility

●      Excellent written and oral communication skills

●      Able to work with students in a calm and respectful manner

●      Access to and strong ability with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Word

Highly Preferred Skills

●      Current ATC Mentor/Instructor

●      Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM)

●      Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience

●      Real world aviation/pilot experience

●      Experience with video creation/screen recording

●      Familiarity with the Boston Virtual ARTCC training program/system

Interested candidates should be aware that this is a senior level administrative position and not for the inexperienced. The workload is considerable and should not be taken lightly. Only those who understand the requirements and can make the appropriate commitment should consider applying. Purpose:
The Salt Lake City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the events coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reports to and serves at the pleasure of the ATM and DATM.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network.
- Manages a team of highly qualified individuals as part of the Events Team.
- Functions as an ARTCC junior staff member and attends meetings as necessary.
- Identifies and develops events to generate traffic and promote the ARTCCs.
- Develops and distributes marketing materials to promote ARTCC events.
- Implements and oversees approved events.
- Acts as CIC or TMU during ARTCC events when able, or designates a replacement on their behalf.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to arrange support for local events.
- Coordinates with neighboring ARTCCs to provide vZLC support.
- Maintains relationships with VAs and coordinates support for VA events.

Requirements:
- Must hold at least a Terminal Controller (S3) rating (C1 rating is preferred).
- Must be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and manage a team.

Preferred Skills:
- Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real world or VATSIM applicable).
- Familiarity with Salt Lake City ARTCC policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the qualities of understanding, patience, restraint, and professionalism.
- Have previous experience working with an event team.

Purpose:

Miami is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Deputy Air Traffic Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

● Reports to the ATM.
● Maintain an active online presence on the website, TeamSpeak, forums, discord, email, and network.
● Acts as a senior staff member, leading and supporting ARTCC members.
● Attends staff meetings as called by the ATM.
● Acts as the acting ATM at request, or in the absence of the ATM.
● Helps develop new members and ensures they have the resources to succeed at ZMA.
● Assists the ATM in the management of the roster.
● Assists the EC in coordinating events that may affect the ARTCC's airspace.
● Assists the FE in overseeing facility files.
● Assists in the development and execution of ARTCC projects.
● Any other duty assigned by the ATM.

Requirements:

● Must have at least a Senior Student (S3) Rating.
● Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
● Be a member of ZMA, or willing to transfer upon selection.
● Must be able to work in a team environment.
● Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Be able to commit an average of four (4) hours per week working on administrative tasks and maintaining an active presence on TeamSpeak, Discord, and any other applicable social platform.

Preferred Skills:

● Prior ATC Mentor/Instructor experience, preferably within VATUSA.
● Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM).
● Leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience (real-world and/or VATSIM).
