News / ZDC Has a New ATM!
« Last post by Brandon Wening on November 27, 2024, 05:46:17 PM »
It is my pleasure to announce the next ZDC ATM, Justin McElvaney! Justin has served on the network as a long-time training staff member, ZHU TA, ZHU ATM, and most recently the ZDC TA. In addition to his staff roles on the network, Justin has plenty of real-world aviation experience as both an air traffic controller and airline captain at multiple facilities and airlines. Justin is eager to work alongside his excellent staff team to further enhance the strengths ZDC currently has, and continue developing new resources for pilots and controllers to use while enjoying all that the Washington ARTCC has to offer. Congratulations Justin! We are all excited to see what you and your staff accomplish.

A huge thank you goes out to the outgoing ZDC ATM, John Bartlett. John is no stranger to staff roles as he has helped lead multiple ARTCCs all across VATUSA over the years. John is stepping back from the role to focus on his other life commitments, but will not be a stranger around ZDC. If you see John around, make sure to tell him thanks for his years of dedication and enthusiasm for our organization.

Please join me in congratulating Owen Bliss as the next ATM for the Jacksonville ARTCC! Owen most recently served as the ZJX EC, where he led a very active events team focused on creating unique community experiences for ZJX pilots and controllers. Owen looks to continue the quest to enhance the strong ZJX community in his new role as ZJX ATM, and we are excited to watch Owen and the ARTCC grow under his leadership. Congratulations Owen!

I'd also like to thank Matt Bromback for his time as the ZJX ATM. While Matt is stepping down from the ATM role, we know his commitment to making the network a better place will remain, and we wish him well in all his future endeavors.
