Congratulations Sean, it was a pleasure to work with you when I was a former staff at PCF, and I believe that you are a great fit to take the events department to a new flight level!

General Discussion / Re: ARTCC Anchorage FIR Division??
« on: June 16, 2020, 10:18:51 am »

Curious. Does PCF also handle ZAK? I ask, because I don't know if what you are doing there is cancelling the Pacific Oceanic Partnership between VATUSA, VATNZ, and VATPAC. Their site still exists, but their forum doesn't anymore, as it relied on the old VATSIM forum that was updated.

Is the Pacific Oceanic Partnership still in effect?

https://pacificoceanic.vatsim.net/

BL.

The Pacific Control Facility does not operate the Oakland Oceanic, or any Pacific Oceanic airspace. That is still operated under the Pacific Oceanic Partnership, and information can be found through that website that you posted yourself! :)

Anchorage ARTCC and Honolulu Control Facility were combined into one facility, the Pacific Control Facility.Their website is https://pacificcontrol.net/

Brin,

Thanks!!  I think I remember you!! You used to be Alaskan controller.  Right??

Anyway, how come Pacific Control Facility website does not have its own forums??

Regards,

Aharon

When I was the webmaster prior to resigning; I had not developed a forums; as there was no need to hold a forum as we held a Discord server. If you already have Discord you may join using https://vats.im/pcfdiscord. If you do not hold an account do not fret, and register via https://discord.com/ then continue to join the server via the previous link. Discord is a communications system that combined text and voice... which PCF uses for their general communication between controllers and controllers, and staff and controllers, etc. ... as well as using VoIP for the voice communications which can be used for town halls, meetings, and coordination!

Mahalo!

Hello all. Do you know if phli will be staffed up for the event please?
I'm fancying an 'end to end' phli to phto  :)
Thanks, Gez

Lihue and Hilo will both be staffed up. Lihue will atleast have a Tower; possibly a ground, and the Radar environment will be controlled by an appropiate center sector. Hilo will be staffed up with Approach and Tower (possibly ground as well).
